Shirt Designs:

2008: The shirt for 2008 commemorates the 25th Anniversary(!) of the run. It inspires me to keep a vision for the run going well into the future.
2007: Inspired by the old TV show, Route 66, the TRR '07 shirt design makes me think a bit of our local heros, Lewis and Clark, finding their way along the Touchet River. I don't think they were trying to set a PR, though! The shirts will again be printed by Elizabeth Cole and Blue Crystal Screen Printing in Waitsburg, WA. Click on the design for a closer view.
2006: I've liked the look of various "Property of ..." shirts I've seen over the years, so decided to go with that design. My family and students helped me pick out the colors. The "XXF" stands for eXtra, eXtra, Fast! The shirts were printed by Elizabeth Cole of Blue Crystal Screen Printing (Waitsburg, WA bluecrystal@gotvc.com). Click on the design for a closer view.
2005: This year's shirt design was a team effort. The concept was developed by race director Dan Nechodom. After Dan's initial drawing, the artwork was turned over to Dayton High School student Kim Post, who produced a fantastic pencil drawing of the "filmstrip R" and lettering, adding the idea for the runner to break out of the film as it crossed the finish line. The drawing was then handed back to race director and computer nerd Dan, who scanned the image, did some editing, and added the colors. The finished picture was then handed off to Elizabeth Cole of Blue Crystal Screen Printing (Waitsburg, WA bluecrystal@gotvc.com) who had them printed and ready for the race. You can click here, or on the picture at the right for a better view of the design.  BTW, some wag among you is going to point out that the pictures in the film are turned 90 degrees so the runner will look like they're running straight down! My response: Very good observation ... smart alek! Now, get back to work getting ready for the race!
