Journal Entry #7 |

Thursday, February 8th. Today was a very interesting day and I learned a lot. I got to participate more today. There were two neuters and a dental problem. The first neuter was a grown adult dog. I found it very interesting when the neuter its not the way I thought it would be. I'm not going to get into details on this, but the next time that there is a neuter I will try to take pictures because they would be able to speak for themselves. After all I took pictures of a spading, why not a neutering. The next neutering was of a puppy. He was not interested in settling down and allowing us to make him sleep (he was very nervous). But his was just like the adult dogs procedure. Did you know that neutering dogs is almost five times faster then spading? The only reason it cost so much is because they have to use the same medical supplies. The dental problem was on the same puppy that got neutered. His adult teeth were coming in, yet his baby teeth weren't coming out. So the were side by side. The reason why this is so bad is that food gets stuck between the teeth and it will start to rot and then the teeth will start to rot because of that rotting food. NOT good. So we started the dental procedure of pulling the baby teeth. Unfortunately, I had to go just as they were getting started. |
