Dear Parents,

Wow! Our students are really doing a great job with our Dear Abby musical. I'm so very proud of them. I can't wait for you to see their performance Thursday, May 22 at 7:30.

Just a reminder: All workers need to wear dark pants and a white shirt. Presidents, please wear nice pants, button up shirt, and tie and/or sports jacket if you have one. First Ladies please wear a dress and bring a scarf and/or boa. Mary Luce is helping out with some costumes, but I'm not sure how much she has.

All students must bring a paper bag with their name on it.

Sixth Grade Parents
CAMP WOOTEN

Parents, It looks like we need one more dad or grandpa to pull this off. I would really like two, but I won't push it. I don't mind if this takes 2 or 3 dads each sharing a night. Please call or email me if you can make this work.

Thanks for all that you do for your child. It really has been a pleasure working with all of our 5th and 6th grade students this year. We've had a great year!

Sincerely,

Brenda Chapman

Dear Parents, I just wanted to share with you the great progress the students are making towards our play, "Dear Abby." I am so pleased with the commitment and dedication the students have put forth. Because of this effort I am confiedent that this production will be one of the best ever! I am on the look out for a couple of clean brooms and mops. Also a couple of small, light wooden chairs to use as props. If you have any of these items please contact me at 382.2507. Thanks,

Mrs. Chapman

Dear Parents, I can't believe we are on the last stretch of school! I'm very excited to announce that the Touchet Valley Arts Council is willing to let us perform our play at the Liberty Theater, Thursday, May 22 at 7:00 with a $5.00 ticket fee. All proceeds will go back to the Liberty Theater and TVAC Productions. In return, TVAC Productions will purchase our play for next year. Students were very supportive in the idea of providing a community service.

Please mark your calendars for Thursday, May 22. Students will need to be at the theater by 6:15. The play will begin promptly at 7:00PM. A huge thank you goes out to John Delp who is working on rescheduling the girls softball game that is currently scheduled for that day. I've tried to contact someone associated with the boys team, but have not been successful. If any one of you knows who the contact person may be, please let me know. It is vital that all students attend this production. Participation is worth 25 points for their Social Studies/Arts grade.

Parents, I will let students know when I hear about tickets going on sale. I strongly recommend you call 382.1380 as soon as they do in order to reserve a seat. I've shared with the students if there is an overwhelming demand for a second show, we would do a second performance that evening at 8:00.

Some costumes will be provided by TVAC Productions, but not all of them. I've already asked boys to come with dark slacks, and a white shirt. I've asked for the girls to wear either a dark dress, with a white or light colored apron. If girls do not have this, they can wear dark slacks, or skirt, with a white shirt. Dark colored shoes, jazz shoes, or character shoes will be fine. Please stay away from high heels and no flip-flops. I've also shared with students that if they don't have these items to look at St. Vincent dePaul as they sometimes have these items at a inexpensive price.

I'm very excited to be doing this production and feel confident that you'll enjoy it. The students have already been working hard on the songs and some dance steps!

Sincerely,

Brenda Chapman
